Mobil Pegasus 610 extends the lubricant change period (ODI) by 18.6% on MAN E2848 LE322 in biogas unit
Situation
ExxonMobil and Novitron collaborated in order to improve productivity and bring significant cost savings to the operation of the 2 MAN gas engines installed at Heliotop S.A.. Heliotop is SHP Facility located in Nothern Greece, producing electricity and heat from biogas derived from animal waste.
Recommendation
Novitron Engineering Department recommended Heliotop to switch the previous lubricant to Mobil Pegasus 610 and continue to monitor the oil condition with MobilServ Lubricant Analysis Program.
Benefit
Mobil Pegasus 610 gas engine oil has increased oil drain interval (ODI) by
18.6% when compared to the previous lubricant.
This result translates into a revenue improvement of over 3300€ annually.
